
Wisconsin Athletics set to host Crazylegs Classic on Saturday

Forty-second edition of the downtown race will celebrate 175 years of UW-Madison
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin Athletics is gearing up to host the 42nd Crazylegs Classic on Saturday morning as more than 10,000 participants are slated to descend on downtown Madison for the annual event.Â
The 8K run will start at 10 a.m. while the two-mile walk is slated to begin at 10:20 a.m. Both races begin at Library Mall and finish outside the Kohl Center. Following the races, a post-race party will take place at the Kohl Center featuring Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press. Â
In honor of UW's 175th Anniversary, Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin will serve as this year's Grand Marshal.Â
In addition, this year Wisconsin Athletics will partner with Girls on the Run and the Badgers are asking race participants to contribute new socks and sports bras when they pick up their race gear on Friday.  Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build and grow their self-confidence, fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork through motion. Join us in creating a community where we leverage the power of sport to impact Dane County youth!Â
