
Wisconsin to send 12 to U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials

MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin track and field team will be represented by 12 current and former members at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team Trials, which will be held from June 21 to 30 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.Â
NBC, Peacock, and USA will provide coverage over eight nights. Coverage begins at noon (CT) on Peacock.Â
Athletes who finish within the top three of their respective events and have met the qualifying standard will make the U.S. Olympic Roster.Â
Current athletes are Bob Liking (5000 meters), Chloe Lindeman (hammer throw), Kiley Robbins (100 meters), Jason Swarens (shot put), and Giovanni Wearing (110-meter hurdles).Â
Former athletes include Evan Jager, who won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and a bronze at the 2017 World Championships, and Zach Ziemek, a 2022 World Championships bronze medalist in the decathlon and in 2021, he finished 6th at the Tokyo Olympics. They will be joined by Amy Davis (10,000 meters), Brenna Detra (800 meters), Olin Hacker (5000 meters), Destiny Huven (100-meter hurdles), and Bianca Stubler (400-meter hurdles).Â
