MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team made history on Thursday night, defeating No. 9 UCLA for the first time in program history with a 1-0 victory.
How it Happened
First Half
The opening 45 minutes proved to be a defensive battle, as both teams fought to control possession.
Wisconsin goalkeeper
Drew Stover came up big early, recording four saves to keep the match scoreless heading into halftime.
Second Half
The Badgers broke through in the 54
th minute after earning their first corner kick of the night.
Adee Boer buried the shot into the back of the net following a setup by
Kiara Gilmore, giving Wisconsin the 1-0 lead.

Stover continued to shine between the posts, finishing with seven saves, a new season high that tied her career best, while securing her seventh clean sheet of the season.
With the win, Wisconsin becomes the only team in the nation with three Top-10 victories this season.Â
