Minasyan and Meszaros advance to the singles semifinals
MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin earned finalist honors in doubles competition and will have two players in the singles semifinals tomorrow. Minasyan, Kloesters, and Meszaros all earned victories in the round of 16.
Matthew Fullerton and Patrik Meszaros started the morning in the Big Ten Individual Championships doubles final. The partnership earned finalist honors as they fell to Michigan State's duo of Saye and Sheldon, 6-1.
In singles action, three of five Badgers earned victories in the round of 16. Kloesters, Meszaros, and Minasyan all won their matches in the 10-point tiebreak third set against a Nebraska opponent.
Meszaros and Minasyan also earned victories in the quarterfinals round, earning each of them a spot in the semifinals tomorrow morning. Meszaros will face Michigan State's Saye and Minasyan is set to play Indiana's Yunis for a spot in the championship match.
