MADISON, Wis. – The women's Wisconsin swimming and diving team wrapped up the regular season with an impressive performance at the Badger Invite on Saturday at the Soderholm Aquatic Center.
Stella Chapman kicked off the morning session as the only one to compete in the 400 IM with a time of 4:14.14 and set a new personal best with an NCAA "B" cut.
Phoebe Bacon took home first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:45.16, beating out second place,
Lily Gardner, by more than two seconds.
Katie McClintock won the 100 breast as the only Badger in the event, with a time of 1:00.72.
Molly Simmons put up a time of 56.20 in the 100 backstroke, the only Badger once again.
In the diving session,
Vivian Kinnard led the Badgers with a third-place finish with 206.70 points.
Ryane Neal,
Molly Hampton, and
Greta Kavanagh followed her in that order.
In the afternoon,
Anna teDuits won the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:59.41. In the 100 freestyle,
Lily Gardner just barely beat out
Kit Schneider, as Gardner put up a time of 49.74 and Schneider finishing in 50.23.
To finish up the day,
Stella Chapman beat
Catherine Hughes in the 200 breaststroke for Chapman's second victory of the day.
