Four skaters named to All-Big Ten teams, Kehrer earns Sportsmanship Award honor
MADISON, Wis. – Four Badgers – Quinn Finley, Ryland Mosley, Gavin Morrissey and Logan Hensler – earned recognition from conference coaches and media as they received All-Big Ten honors, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Sophomore forward Finley led the pack as an All-Big Ten Second Team selection. Finley was an offensive powerhouse for Wisconsin this year, posting its first 20-goal, 40-point season since Cole Caufield reached both marks in 2021. The sophomore's 40 points topped the Badgers' roster and ranked fourth in the Big Ten, and his eight power-play goals are tied for second in the conference and eight in the nation.
The Suamico, Wisconsin, native led Wisconsin with 10 multi-point and three multi-goal games this season, earning a Hobey Baker Award fan vote nomination for his offensive efforts. To add to his list of accolades earned this year, Finley is also a two-time Big Ten Star of the Week and was named the 2024 Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off Most Outstanding Forward.
Graduate student forward Ryland Mosley was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention. The Arnprior, Ontario, native finished second on the Badgers with 18 goals and 37 points and ranked third with 19 assists. A team alternate captain, the forward recorded seven multi-point games, including three four-point nights, which is good to tie for second most on the roster. Mosley earned a 2025 Hobey Baker fan vote nomination and two Big Ten Stars of the Week honors for his efforts this year.
At the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, Mosley signed an amateur tryout contract for this season and an AHL contract for the 2025-26 season with the Cleveland Monsters, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.
Two skaters – Gavin Morrissey and Logan Hensler – were named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team.
Forward Morrissey delivered one of the most outstanding freshman seasons in the last 25 years for Wisconsin men's hockey as one of 12 who have reached the 30-point mark. He finished his first UW campaign with nine goals, 23 assists and 32 points in 37 games played. The Rochester Hills, Michigan, native was also strong in the faceoff circle, winning 437 of 759 draws for a 57.6 percent success rate to tie for fourth among Big Ten skaters with at least 50 faceoffs taken. His 437 faceoff wins rank second in the Big Ten and seventh in the country.
Morrissey was one of three finalists for Big Ten Freshman of the Year.
Defenseman Hensler had a fantastic rookie year on the blue line, tallying two goals and 12 points in 32 games played. The Woodbury, Minnesota, native's 12 points ranked second among freshmen on the roster and tied him for second among all Badger defensemen. As the fifth-youngest player in college hockey this year, Hensler scored his first collegiate goal against LIU on Jan. 17, his first game back after winning a goal medal with the U.S. National Junior Team at the 2025 World Junior Championships.
The defenseman is eligible for this year's NHL Draft and checked in at No. 10 among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's midterm draft rankings.
Finally, Anthony Kehrer was named Wisconsin's recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
The graduate student defenseman tallied one goal and 12 points in 35 games played this season to tie for second among all defensemen on the roster. The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native is a steady defenseman, and he led the team with a plus-13 rating and ranked third among all UW skaters with 43 blocks.
