
Bacon named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team

The graduate student represents the Badgers
MADISON, Wis. – Graduate student Phoebe Bacon of the Wisconsin women's swim and dive team was named 2024-25 Women's Swimming & Diving Academic All-America First Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators.
This marks the first time Bacon has earned the award, and the first Badger to be named to the Academic All-America team since 2014, and the first female Badger since 2000 with Gina Panighetti.
Majoring in Health Promotion & Health Equity, Bacon earned a 3.50 GPA this year. Additionally, she was named First-Team All-American at the 2025 Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in the 200 Backstroke, 100 Backstroke, 200 IM and Honorable mention in the 200 Medley Relay, 800 freestyle Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Medley Relay.
After graduating in May, Bacon will continue to train and compete professionally.
