INDIANAPOLIS
- The Wisconsin women's rowing team wrapped up its first day of racing at the 2025 Big Ten Championships, with all seven boats advancing to the petite finals on Sunday, May 18, at Eagle Creek Park.

The Badgers faced competition from 10 other Big Ten schools, including boats from historic Big Ten competitors Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State and Rutgers, as well as new B1G competitors UCLA, USC and Washington.

The top three boats in each heat advanced to the six-team grand final, while the remaining boats will compete in the petite finals for each boat class.

UW was led by its varsity eight and fourth varsity eight crews, who each finished in fourth place in their respective races, just outside of the top three boats that advanced to the grand finals.

Up Next: The Badgers compete on day two of the Big Ten Championships on Sunday, May 18, to wrap up their competition. The finals will air live on the Big Ten Network and can be streamed on B1G+ and the Fox Sports App. Live results can also be found here.

The BTN broadcast features an all-star group of commentators including Wisconsin Big Ten champion and U.S. Olympian Grace Latz, who will act as a host alongside Dean Linke from the Big Ten's Chicago offices, as well as former Iowa head coach, world champion and Wisconsin rower Mandi Kowal, who will be doing play-by-play on-site in Indianapolis. Former Michigan rower and current New York Jets reporter Caroline Hendershot will also be featured on the broadcast as an on-site interviewer.
