Kelly Sheffield has named senior
Carter Booth and sophomore
Charlie Fuerbringer as team captains for the 2025 season.
Booth enters her third season with the Badgers, and has been named to the 2025 Preseason All-Big Ten Team. In 2023, Booth was named AVCA All-America Third Team, and is a three-time All-Big Ten selection. In 2024, the 6-foot-7 middle blocker averaged 1.35 blocks per set, good for fifth-best in the Big Ten, and added 1.70 kills per set.
Fuerbringer will also serve as a captain for the Badgers this campaign. In her freshman year, Fuerbringer was named AVCA All-American Third Team where she averaged 10.95 assists per set, fourth-highest in the B1G, added 2.50 digs per set, and totaled 37 aces. The Hermosa, Calif. native has been named to the 2025 AVCA National Player of the Year Watchlist and the Preseason All-Big Ten Team.
The No. 8 Badgers will kick-off the 2025 campaign with The Opening Spike Classic on August 29 and 31 at the Kohl Center. Wisconsin will take on No. 14 Kansas on August 29 and will follow-up with No. 5 Texas on August 31. Fans can purchase tickets
