Five things to know: Badgers carry momentum into Indiana Invitational

Wisconsin builds on standout performances ahead of first road meet
MADISON, Wis. – The UW women's track and field team will travel to Bloomington, Ind. for their first away meet of the year, the Indiana Invitational on Friday Jan. 16 and Saturday Jan.17.
On Friday, the meet is tentatively set to start at 1:00 p.m. with the heptathlon, followed by field events, then track events. Saturday, the meet is intended to start at 9:00 a.m. with the pentathlon.
1. SENIOR STAR: This past weekend at the Badger Midwest Invite, Rachel Robinson earned her way into the UW record book, running the 60 meters in 7.57 seconds, a personal best. This notched her a spot at number 7 in the top ten indoor performance list.
2. POWERHOUSE THROWING WEEKEND: National Champion Taylor Kesner led Wisconsin in its weight throw sweep earning 1-5 ranks, throwing 69 feet, 1 ¼ inches (21.06m). Sophomore Nora Skoraczewski threw her personal best, 61-4 ¾ (18.71m). The Badger throwers had other high remarks, finishing 1-2 in shot put. Hadley Lucas competed unattached, finished in first, followed by freshman Thea Kral, who also competed unattached.
3. RACING INTO INDIANA: The Badger distance runners are set to travel to Indiana this weekend, competing in the mile, 3000 meters and the distance medley relay. Sophomore Eva Kuehn earned a first place finish at the Badger Midwest Invite in the 3000 meters, crossing the finish line at 10 minutes, 7.26 seconds. This will be the first meet for many of the other distance runners and the first time this season that Wisconsin will be participating in the DMR

5. UP NEXT: Next weekend, the Badgers will have a pair of meets, in Philadelphia, Pa., and Champaign, Ill., the Indiana Invitational and teh Fighting Illini Challenge. Both meets will be three days, starting on Thursday Jan. 22 and going through Saturday Jan. 24.
