Ryane Neal collects two top-10 all-time scores
MADISON, Wis. — The No. 15 Wisconsin women's swim and dive team tamed the No. 21 Northwestern Wildcats, 154-146, on Saturday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Maggie Wanezek and Maddie Waggoner led the pack with clean sweeps in their respective events. Wanezek picked up two individual event wins, finishing in 51.04 in the 100 back and 1:51.80 in the 200 back. Waggoner did the same, finishing in 16:05.82 in the 1650 free and 4:14.61 in the 400 IM.
Five other Badgers picked up individual event wins. Hailey Tierney finished in 22.42 in the 50 free, and Abby Wanezek finished in 48.67 in the 100 free.
In the diving well, Ryane Neal picked up two all-time top-10 scores. A second-place finish on the 3-meter with a personal best 298.20 points marked a seventh-best all-time score. The junior also picked up another personal best on the 1-meter, notching 301.70 points for a third-place finish. The score marks the third-highest all-time score at Wisconsin.
