Zelenov paces the Badgers with career-high three assists
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin men's hockey team bested the Colonials 4-2 in game one of their season opening series Friday at the Kohl Center; with a short-handed goal from Finn Brink to sign it off.
Vasily Zelenov provided the first of his three assists, setting up Luke Osburn for goal from the blue line and give the Badgers their first goal of the season and only of the period.

Halfway through the second period, Bruno Idžan received a pass from Osburn and backhanded a goal to put the Badgers up 2-0.

With 12 seconds left on Badger power play, Dylan Compton secured his first goal as a Badger.

The third started off with a power play goal from Robert Morris. The game took another turn when Brent Solomon got called for a five minute major and player misconduct for contact to the head. That didn't deter the Badgers as Finn Brink power a shorthanded goal, putting the Badgers up 4-1.

In the last 12 seconds, Robert Morris was able to tally one last goal for a final score of 4-2.
