How it HappenedÂ
Wisconsin traded early baskets with the Trojans, with strong interior work from Uchenna and a pair of scores from Howell. The Badgers stayed within striking distance and trailed 14-11 after one. The Badgers continued to fight defensively, but USC pieced together a late run to build separation. Zaja provided a spark off the bench, and Daniels knocked down a key three, yet Wisconsin entered halftime down 30-22.
Wisconsin delivered its best stretch coming out of the break, earning 20 third-quarter points while shooting 50 percent. Daniels caught fire from deep and Zaja remained efficient inside, helping the Badgers keep pace.
