Lucie Delmas breaks the school record in the 200 butterfly
ATLANTA — The No. 15 Wisconsin women's swim team wrapped up its 2025-26 campaign with two All-American honors on the final day of competition at the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, including a runner-up finish from Maggie Wanezek in the 200 backstroke.
In the night's finals session, Maggie Wanezek swam the distance in 1:47.73 for a lifetime best and a top-three all-time finish at UW to earn silver. The swim marks the second individual First-Team All-American for the sophomore.
Earlier in the day, redshirt freshman Lucie Delmas collected her first individual All-American honor with an honorable mention 11th-place finish in the 200 butterfly. Delmas came out of the gates in the morning, breaking her own school record by almost two tenths of a second with a time of 1:53.89.
In the 200 IM, Stella Chapman and Hazal Ozkan put up strong showings to finish in 1:58.05 and 1:58.41, respectively. Abby Wanezek wrapped up her individual career in the 100 freestyle, covering the distance in 48.43.
Seniors Blair Stoneburg and Abby Wanezek concluded their collegiate careers in the 400 freestyle relay, helping pad the Badger relay to a 3:15.96 finish.
The Badgers placed 13th with 70.5 points by the event's conclusion as the fifth-highest Big Ten program.
