Select athletes set for Ron and Sharlene Allice Trojan Invite
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin men's track and field team heads west as several student-athletes will continue their 2026 outdoor campaigns. Select throwers, sprinters and multi-event athletes will travel to Los Angeles for the Ron and Sharlene Allice Trojan Invite, hosted by USC. A select amount of throwing events will take place on Friday while a majority of the events will take place on Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m. CT.

1. NEW HEIGHTS: Augustus Counard‑Ciechanowski delivered a standout performance at last Friday's USF Alumni Invitational, setting a new personal best in the pole vault of 16 feet, 4 ¾ inches (5.00m), tying for the event victory.
2. BACK ON TRACK: Freshman Tonovila Hicks made his first appearance since early February, opening his outdoor season in the 400-meter hurdles. The Norristown, Pennsylvania native placed 10th in 55.75 seconds and later added a strong fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking 14.51 seconds.
3. FAST TIMES: Joshua Onwunili kicked off his season with a career-best effort in the 100 meters, taking fourth in 10.22 seconds, a time that now ranks No. 4 in program history.
4. RELAY RUNNING: The 4x100-meter squad of Farraj Al Amin, Lorenz Forsman, Onwunili and Zion Omotesa posted a time of 41.16, placing 11th overall in the event. The same quartet returned for the 4x400 meters, finishing 11th, crossing the line in 3:16.19.
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will split for two meets next weekend, sending athletes to both the Stanford Invitational at Stanford University and the Triton Invitational at UC San Diego. Competition begins on April 3 and concludes on April 4.
