Badgers open Conference season with Notre Dame home series

MADISON, Wis. –The Wisconsin men's hockey program will open its 2026-27 Big Ten season with a two-game home series against Notre Dame during a stretch that includes Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, the Conference office announced on Thursday. The Badgers look to continue the momentum of their run to the NCAA championship game in Las Vegas this past season.
The Badgers will also play host to Ohio State and Penn State before the holiday break this fall. Defending Big Ten champion Michigan State, border-rival Minnesota and 2026 NCAA Frozen Four participant Michigan visit the Kohl Center during the second half of the season.
All announced Big Ten series list the range of days the games will take place on a particular week. The only series dates currently locked in is the final regular-season weekend of the season when all teams play on Thursday and Friday, March 4-5. The Badgers close at Notre Dame.
Schedules are subject to change and exact dates, times and television designations will be announced in the near future.
Wisconsin's non-conference slate will also be announced at a later date.
