Badgers tied for fifth at Badger Invitational after first day

UW completes first day University Ridge
MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin women's golf team is tied for fifth after the first day of the Badger Invitational, carding a 293 across 18 holes.
Tammy Wu led the Badgers, tying for fourth and finishing two-under-par with five birdies. Grace Slocum tied for 23rd with a one-over 73.
Another duo of Badgers also shared the same results, tying for 45th. Izzi Stricker and Jillian Bowman each carded a 75, finishing the first day three-above-par. Stricker also collected an eagle on her first hole of the tournament.
Kate Brody rounded out UW's group competition, tallying a 79 to land her in a tie for the 73rd spot.
Tying for 51st, Elyssa Abdullah carded a 76, shooting four-above-par. Abdullah collected two birdies. Lauren Sammon finished tied for 66th while carding a 78.
With three birdies, Hadley Ashton tied for 80th place, garnering an 80. Close behind her was Cara Carter with an 82, finishing tied for 84th.
The Badgers will return to University Ridge tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. for a second round of play. Because of incoming weather, the tournament plans to play 27 holes on Monday.2026 Badger Invitational
