Wisconsin finishes third at the Fighting Irish Classic

Brody leads the Badgers in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Badgers earned a third-place finish at the Fighting Irish Classic. The UW women's golf team shot a 28-over-par (296+295+289=880) across 54 holes.
After the first two rounds of play at the Fighting Irish Classic, UW lands itself in a 6th-place spot, carding a 591.
Senior Kate Brody tied for third, finding eight birdies across 36 holes and shooting two-under-par.
With three birdies, Tammy Wu finished tied for 23rd at seven-over-par.
Tied for 40th was sophomore Grace Slocum, collecting three birdies.
Wisconsin's individual competitor, Lauren Sammon, tied for 59th place. Sammon garnered two birdies during the first 18 holes.
Jillian Bowman and Elyssa Abdullah tied for 63rd. The pair of Badgers each shot a 157 across 36 holes.
The Badgers will continue on to play 18 more holes tomorrow to wrap up the third and final round of the Fighting Irish Classic.
Round 3
Kate Brody kept her streak going, collecting three birdies and remaining in the tie for third place. The senior shot a 73.
Grace Slocum and Tammy Wu moved up in the rankings, both tying for 18th place. Slocum collected four birdies during the final 18 holes, shooting a 69 and two-under-par. Shooting two over. Wu carded a 73 with two birdies.
Jillian Bowman carded a 74 to land her tied for 48th. Bowman shot just three-over-par with three birdies.
With one birdie, Lauren Sammon, UW's individual competitor, shot a 77 to finish the tournament tied for 55th place.
Rounding out Wisconsin's scorecard was sophomore Elyssa Abdullah. Abdullah garnered two birdies, carding a 78.
