Trask on Cowdroy: “Dean will provide immediate competition in our goalkeeping group.  Dean is a very gifted athlete and wants to jump to the next level by joining the program.  Dean’s ability with the ball as a true sweeper keeper and excellent shot stopping abilities that will allow him to have tremendous success in his time in Madison.”

Tiemeyer on Cowdroy: “Dean has recently completed his 2nd outstanding season at Lander University in South Carolina.  He is a smaller GK but has excellent range and timing in collecting crosses.  He bosses his team and provides excellent distribution, setting the rhythm of the game.”

Boruff on Cowdroy: “Dean comes to us from Lander University, which is one of the top Division 2 schools in the country. Dean had two standout years under Coach Lee Squires. He has already played in many high level conference tournament and NCAA tournament games, and will bring a tremendous amount of experience with him. Dean’s style of goalkeeping stood out to us right away on film. He is excellent in both his long range distribution and his build up play. He is confident and composed in goal, which is evident in his shot stopping and 1v1 play. We are looking forward to Dean making a fast impact in our program, and to immediately compete for the starting position.”
