Dr. Greg Landry - Physician

As the son of a coach, Greg Landry played at least three sports through grade school and high school. He attended Butler University in Indianapolis on a football scholarship before graduating from the Indiana School of Medicine in 1980. He completed his residency in pediatrics in 1983 at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Following a fellowship in ambulatory pediatrics, Dr. Landry joined the faculty of the
UW – Madison Medical School in 1984 and developed a sports medicine program in the Department of Pediatrics.
Currently, Dr. Landry serves as the head of primary care and head team physician for the UW – Madison athletic teams and as staff physician for the UW Hospital Sports Medicine and Fitness Center. As a volunteer physician in the United States Olympic Program, he served as physician for the Olympic Sports Festival in Minneapolis in July 1991 and served as physician for the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, France. Dr. Landry is a founding member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and served as president from 1997 – 1998. He and his wife, Ann, have two daughters, Kerry and Megan.
