Michael Cerniglia
Executive Director of the National W Club
Mike Cerniglia was named the Executive Director of the National W Club in January 2014. As a member of the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department since 2005, Cerniglia has held multiple positions in his tenure including Director of Men’s Hockey Operations & Assistant to Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez.
As Executive Director, Cerniglia is responsible for the day to day management and operations of the organization and at the same time facilitate interaction, communication and build relationships with National W Club members. Additionally Cerniglia is a key team member that helps facilitate, coordinate and organize Social Functions, Reunions, Specials Events, Annual Member Golf Outing, Badger Blast and Crazylegs Classic.
Cerniglia was a member of the UW men's hockey team from 1996-2001 and a member of the National W-Club as a four-time letter winner. Cerniglia was a member of various student athlete advisory boards while he was playing hockey for UW and was honored with the National W Club community involvement award in 2001.
Cerniglia is a 2001 and 2013 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, holding a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis.
Mike and his wife Aleah (UW Volleyball Letterwinner 96’) reside in Madison and have two children: Michael Jr. and Jada.
