Dean Thompson
Dean Thompson has been with Academic Services full-time since 2005, after serving two years as a part-time mentor. He came to Madison from Milwaukee where he spent 13 years as a fitness director and personal trainer, while also teaching kinesiology part-time at UW-Milwaukee and serving as a mentor in the UWM athletic department. He holds a B.S. in exercise and sport science from UW-La Crosse where he played football for four years, and a M.S. in kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Sociology. Dean currently teaches kinesiology part-time at MATC. An fitness enthusiast, he is an avid runner and road race competitor. Originally from nearby Edgerton, Wis., Dean grew up attending UW games and is a lifelong Badger fan.
