Wisconsin Badgers

Destined to go down as one of the Wisconsin men's basketball program's all-time greats, Alando Tucker's athletic accomplishments, leadership skills and maturity made him the consummate student-athlete.

Tucker came to Wisconsin in the fall of 2002 and, over the next five seasons (he redshirted in 2003-04), helped the Badgers to one Big Ten regular-season title, two Big Ten Tournament championships and the school's first-ever Associated Press No. 1 national ranking, all while becoming the school's career scoring leader. He finished his career as the ninth-leading scorer in Big Ten history.

Tucker's finest season was his last. In 2006-07, he became Wisconsin's first consensus first-team All-American since 1942. He was the 2007 Big Ten Player of the Year and finalist for every national player of the year award. He was named the 2007 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award winner and set the school season scoring mark with 716 points. Tucker was a two-time, first-team All-Big Ten selection and a five-time Big Ten Player of the Week during his career.

A native of Lockport, Ill., Tucker was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the first round (29th overall) of the 2007 NBA Draft. He is still with the Suns organization.
