Wisconsin Volleyball - 2025 NCAA Tournament Central
After two wins at the UW Field House and a pair of thrilling victories over Stanford and Texas in Austin, the Badgers are headed to the Final Four!
Wisconsin took on 1-seed Kentucky in the National Semifinal on December 18. The Badgers fell in five sets to the Wildcats in a back-and-forth affair.

The Dream Continues: No. 3 Badgers travel to Kansas City for National Semifinals
The No. 3 Wisconsin volleyball team will continue its journey in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 18, as they will take on No. 1 Kentucky in the National Semifinals at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. First serve will occur 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first semifinal between No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 1 Pittsburgh, which is slated to start at 5:30 p.m. CT. Both matches will be televised on ESPN.


Wisconsin 3, Texas 1
NCAA Regional Final - Austin, Texas
The No. 3 Wisconsin Badgers punched their ticket to the NCAA National Semifinals for the seventh time in program history, storming into Gregory Gymnasium to take down No. 1 Texas (25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19) in four sets.
The Badgers and the Longhorns hooked up in a back-and-forth battle in the first set, as UW utilized a quick 4-0 burst to take a lead at 10-9. With the help of a kill from outside hitter Mimi Colyer paced UW with 23 kills, finishing with a .309 hitting percentage. In similar fashion, Vajagic followed suit swinging at .458 (15 - 4 - 24), marking double-digit kill totals for the sixth consecutive match.
Carter Booth was steady from the front row in a tough road atmosphere, converting on 11 kills. In the middle of it all, setter Charlie Fuerbringer dished out 57 assists and notched nine digs.

Wisconsin 3, Stanford 1
Regional Semifinal - Austin, Texas
The Badgers defeated 2-seed Stanford (25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 25-22) behind another prolific performance on the offensive end—hitting .420 (70 - 15 - 131) by the conclusion of the four-set match.
The Badgers (27-4) were clicking on all cylinders in the first frame, as UW exploded for a .514 swinging percentage to jump out to a hot start in the first frame.
With the match in the balance in the fourth set, Colyer racked up her 2,000th kill of her career —accumulating a match-high 27 at Gregory Gym. The senior earned her final three in the late stages of set four, pushing Wisconsin to the Regional Finals.
Offensively, Booth tied a career-best with 14 kills, last doing so in the Regional Semifinal last season against Texas A&M. The Denver, Colorado, native swung .700 (14 - 0 - 20) against the Cardinal, as she finished errorless for the fourth-straight match.
Middle blocker Alicia Andrew joined her in the process, racking up seven kills on nine attempts without an attack error.
Setter Charlie Fuerbringer was the centerpiece throughout the entirety of the match, tallying a career-high 61 assists to guide the Badgers to their highest hitting percentage in a four-set match in program history.

Wisconsin 3, North Carolina 0
Second Round - UW Field House
The Badgers punched their ticket to the Regional Semifinals for the 13th consecutive season with their second sweep in as many days, this time defeating North Carolina (25-14, 25-21, 27-25) in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
Colyer, in her final match at the UW Field House, ended a lengthy rally with a kill to seal the victory. The senior finished with 22 on the evening, the 11th time this year where she has accumulated 20 or more.
Egan joined Colyer in the double-double department, emerging as a staple on the defensive end with 11 digs, complemented by her 11 kills. Libero Kristen Simon put together another standout showing defensively as well, totaling a team-high 16 digs.
On the front line, Fuerbringer led the way with 43 assists—powering the Badgers to a hitting percentage of .365 (60 - 14 - 126) against one of the strongest blocks in the country.


Wisconsin 3, Eastern Illinois 0
First Round - UW Field House
Owning a 3-seed, the Wisconsin Badgers dominated in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament, sweeping Eastern Illinois (25-11, 25-6, 25-19) behind another strong performance on the offensive end.
The Badgers (25-4) advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament with the help of a .435 (47 - 10 - 85) hitting percentage—jumping out of the gates in set one.
The Badgers put together their best showing of the season in the second set, winning 25-6. The six points allowed were the least by a Wisconsin unit in the rallying scoring era in the NCAA Tournament, dating back to 2007. UW earned four service aces in the set—including a pair from setter Charlie Fuerbringer.
Colyer tallied double-digit kills for the 16th consecutive match, finishing with 10 on a .562 swinging percentage. Vajagic put together a solid showing in her postseason debut, also accumulating 10 kills to complement her five digs.
Defensively, libero Kristen Simon was a staple in the back row, as the freshman notched 15 digs—tying her highest total since the Badgers' match against Indiana on Nov. 9.
