Summer is coming to an end but the fun is only beginning in Madison! 

The 2025 Wisconsin Athletics season is getting underway, and Labor Day weekend is jam packed with Badger action. 

Wisconsin Athletics' most iconic venues will be primed and ready for season openers and marquee matchups, and Badger fans can show their pride downtown at Taste of Madison on Saturday, Aug. 30.

The 2025 season kicks off under the lights at Camp Randall

Wisconsin football kicks off the 2025 season under brand new Camp Randall LED lights on Thursday, Aug. 28 (8 p.m. CT). With the Badgers set to battle Miami (OH), fans will receive LED light bracelets presented by Target (while supplies last) to help light up the scene.

Fans can get game-ready at the UW Field House tailgate – Admission is free and doors open at 5:30 p.m. 

During the game, halftime will feature a special UW Marching Band light show.

With new light show features set for the opener, fans won't want to miss the electric night game experience inside Camp Randall.

Wisconsin Volleyball returns to the Kohl Center for the Opening Spike Classic

As part of the Labor Day weekend action, the Wisconsin volleyball team opens its 2025 campaign on an iconic stage inside the Kohl Center. 

The No. 8 Badgers will square off with two ranked teams at the Opening Spike Classic in No. 14 Kansas and No. 5 Texas. 

Both matches will also be broadcast live on national television (BTN) and tickets are still available.

Taste of Madison takes over downtown on Labor Day weekend

The Taste of Madison will take over downtown Madison on Saturday – and fans should wear their red and white!

The Badgers will host a tailgate activation inside Tailgate Village on the square, complete with an appearance from Bucky, the Buckywagon, and so much more. 

Fans can play Badger Plinko for a chance to win Opening Spike Classic tickets for Sunday, Aug. 31.
