- Won sectionals his last 3 years, and in his senior season the team made it all the way the the semi-state championship game

- Both parents rowed at the University of Rhode Island
- His dad rowed with the US National team and the Olympic team
- Won gold in the lightweight men’s doubles skull in 1990 at Nationals.
