Biography
2023-24: Placed 18th with the Men’s Championship Eight at the Head of the Charles race. Placed 1st in the Second Varsity Eight race with the second heat against Marietta. Placed 1st at the Pac-12 invite with the Second Varsity Eight. Placed 3rd with the Second Varsity Eight at the Lake Morey Invite against Boston University and Dartmouth. Placed 2nd with the Second Varsity Eight at the Windermere Cup. Placed 19th at the IRA National Championship with the Second Varsity Eight.
2022-23 (Sophomore): Placed 15th at IRA Championships rowing with the second varsity eight boat.
2021-22 (Freshman): Academic All Big Ten. Stanwood made appearances on both the third and fourth varsity eight's throughout the season.
High School: Irca Scholar Athlete Award, Rowing 4 years, State Championship Fall 2019, Swimming 4 years
Reason for choosing UW-Madison: Loved the school atmosphere when I visit ted the school in the summer. I understood how Wisconsin was a place where I could receive an education from a top research university as well as compete at the highest level.
What Wisconsin Rowing means to me: In means putting your body on the line. You know that the 7 other oarsmen are pulling their hardest and you don't want to be the one who makes your boat fall short.
