An alumni of the Wisconsin men’s soccer team, Jameson Kronser (Jamo) returns to UW for his first season with the Badgers as assistant coach and his seventh season as a collegiate soccer coach.

Kronser recently spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Valparaiso University in 2017 and 2018 while obtaining his master’s in engineering management. He helped the Crusaders with their transition into the Missouri Valley Conference in 2017, specifically working with the goalkeepers who earned three MVC Defensive Player of the Week accolades that first season.
In the spring of 2017, Kronser served as a volunteer assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs at Madison College following a three season stint (2014-16) at Beloit College as an assistant coach with the men’s and women’s soccer programs.
Kronser works full-time as an engineer in the Madison area after graduating from UW in 2013 with a degree in biological systems engineering in addition to coaching. He also runs his own business, IDEAL Performance, which focuses on athlete development, performance, nutrition and leadership.
As a goalkeeper for UW from 2011 to 2013, Kronser helped the team make its first return to the NCAA tournament since the 1995 championship season in his 2013 senior year. He began as a walk-on goalkeeper but helped lead training sessions for the non-travel roster during road-games and led training clinics for the UW soccer camps year-round.
