2020 Season

2020 Indoor: Took 12th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.95, 20th in the 60 meters (premier) with a time of 7.20 and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay (premier) team that placed ninth with a time of 3:21.90 at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational (1/17-18)... Finished 22nd in the 60 meters (prelims) with a time of 7.20 and 26th in the 400 meters with a time of 52.21 at the Indiana Relays (1/31-2/1)... Placed 32nd in the 60 meters (prelims) with a time of 7.09 and 37th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.40 at the Meyo Invitational (2/7)

2019 Season

2019 Indoor: Took 23rd in the 60 meters with a time of 7.11 and also finished 25th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.38 at the Big Ten Championships (2/22-23) ... finished fourth in the preliminary heat of the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.11 before finishing runner-up in the finals with a personal best time of 7.07 in the finals, and also took third in the 200 meters, crossing the line in 22.77 at the Red & White Classic (2/15) ...  matched his personal best time of 7.15 to take 11th in the preliminary heat of the 60 meters and also finished eighth in the 2000 meters with a personal best time of 22.36 at the Power Five Invitational (2/1-2) ... finished 16th in the preliminary heat of the 60 meters with a time of 7.16, took 15th in the 200 meters with a time of 22.68 and also helped the Wisconsin "B" 4x400 relay squad to a ninth place finish with an overall time of 3:21.15 at the Indiana Relays (1/25-26) ... in his collegiate debut, won the long jump with a mark of 21-6 3/4 (6.57m), was the runner-up in the 300 meters with a time of 36.33 and took fifth in the preliminary heat of the 60 meters in 7.20, where he went on to finish fifth in the finals with a time of 7.15 at the Badger Icebreaker (1/12)

High School

Was a conference finalist in the 100 meters and took sixth in the 200 meters at the conference meet as a freshman … qualified for the state meet in the 200 meters his sophomore year … was the conference runner-up in the 100 meters and the conference 200 meters champion his junior year … qualified for the state meet in the 200 meters and the 400 meters relay as a junior … his senior year, was the conference champion in the 100 meters, 200 meters and long jump … regional champion in the 100 meters, 200 meters and long jump as a senior … sectional 200 meters and long jump champion and 100 meter runner-up his senior year … holds the school record in the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and 4x100 relay … state finalist in the 100 and 200 meters his senior year … took sixth place at the state meet in the long jump his senior year … competed in AAU Track and was a national qualifier for the 100 and 200 meters events … was a part of the AAU 2018 national champion 400 meter relay team … also participated in football and was named All-Conference defensive back and kicker and was also named All-Region defensive back … high school coach was Trevor Kramolis

Personal

Parents are Nick and Jill McHone … has one brother, Max (21) … was a National Honor Society member … intended major is retail and consumer behavior

“Growing up right outside of Madison, I was raised a Badger fan. The academic and athletic tradition can’t be beat. I have wanted to be a student athlete here for as long as I can remember.”
