Roster

Anna Bares
- Class:
- Freshman
- Hometown:
- Madison, Wis.
High School: Four-year varsity athlete during five years of rowing ... won three letters in track and field
Personal: Parents are Amy and Anton … has a brother, Alex … Amy is a UW-Platteville Athletic Hall of Fame cross country and track athlete ... Anton also ran track at UW-Platteville … attended Madison West High School ... major is undeclared
Why Wisconsin: I choose UW-Madison because of my strong childhood connection to the school. Being part of the traditions and events as a kid was something I wanted to be a part of as a student. As well having the opportunity to be on such a competitive team with amazing other athletes was something that really drew me to UW even more. The teams community and determination was incredible when I visited and was why I choose UW-Madison.
What Wisconsin rowing means to you: UW rowing was very present throughout my high school rowing years. We had coaches with ties to UW rowing that brought culture, stories, and dedication. Not only were these coaches athletes themselves, but they brought a positive and strong view of their experience at UW. It was apparent to me before coming to UW and a student that community that UW rowing brings by being part of this legacy is something that is rarely forgotten. This team shares an incredible community and teammates that are always up for a challenge.
