Honors:  2018-19 Preseason All-WCHA... Named to All-WCHA Second Team (2017-18)... WCHA All-Academic Team (2017-18)  

2018-19: A member of the 2019 National Championship team, Gardner appeared in 39 contests for the Badgers, tallying one goal and 11 assists for 12 points on the season. Had a season-high two assists against Bemidji State on Nov. 16 in Wisconsin’s 5-0 victory over the Beavers. Gardner finished her senior season with an impressive +36 rating. The senior was a crucial part of an elite UW defensive unit that allowed zero goals in the NCAA postseason, a playoff schedule that included outings against No. 4 Clarkson and No. 2 Minnesota.

2017-18: Appeared in 35 games on the top defensive line for Wisconsin, recording six goals and 16 assists for a career-high 22 points on the season... first on the team and among all WCHA skaters in plus/minus with a +35 rating... fifth on team in blocks with 34... matched her career-high tally of four blocks against Ohio State on Nov. 5, 2017... notched two assists against St. Cloud State on Dec. 9, 2017... scored the game-winner against Bemidji State on Jan. 19... was season-high +3 against Minnesota in NCAA quarterfinal on March 10... named to the All-WCHA Second Team 

2016-17: Appeared in all 40 games for UW ...  recorded three goals and 13 assists for 16 overall points ... tallied a career-high two goals and one assist against Bemidji State on Nov. 5, 2016 ... notched two assists on Feb. 24 against Minnesota State ... fourth on the team with a +39 plus/minus rating ... WCHA All-Academic Team 

2015-16: Played in 36 games for the Badgers, tallying 2 goals and 10 assists... finished the season with a +18 plus/minus rating... Scored her first career goal in the Badgers' 8-0 win over Ohio State (Oct. 11)... scored the game-winning goal in the team's WCHA Final Face-off semifinal win over Minnesota Duluth (March 5)... dished out a career-high two assists in Wisconsin's 6-0 NCAA quarterfinal win over Mercyhurst (March 12)

Prep: Played four seasons with the Chicago Mission girls' prep team… helped the Mission to a 74-6 record her senior season, capped off with the 2015 USA Hockey Girls Tier I national Championship… state and regional champions in both her sophomore and junior seasons with third-place showings at nationals both years as well… Mission won the 2014 Detroit Bauer World Invite, Gardner named tournament MVP in her age group… won gold with U.S. U-18 team at the IIHF World Championships… finished with a +1 plus/minus… invited to the USA Hockey National Development Camp the past four seasons.

Personal: Parents are Doug and Julie… has a brother, Josh… has been playing hockey since age 3… volunteered with the ATI Physical Therapy Foundation… role model is her mom… high honor roll all four years of high school… enjoys waterskiing, kayaking, and reading... majoring in life sciences communication
