Why Wisconsin: I chose Wisconsin because of my community. I was born and raised here, and have lived every phase of life thus far as a Madisonian. I've been privileged to be a member of so many communities here that now feel like families to me: my own family and childhood friends, my community in the Boathouse and athletics, the geoscience community in Weeks Hall, and other friends and mentors I've picked up along the way. This place is my home.
What Wisconsin rowing means to you: Wisconsin Rowing has taught me that personal limits are not fixed. While there might be limitations on what I can do in a given moment, there is no upper bound on how far I can push these limits with consistent effort and a gritty mindset. Wisconsin Rowing has also taught me that others will always be there to help me so long as I ask for it.
