Personal: Parents are Michelle Dusold and Fred Ortega... father is an executive pastry chef and mother is the Presidents House manager at University of Pennsylvania... intended major is biology

Reason for choosing UW-Madison: I chose UW-Madison because of its great stem program, amazing location and friendly people.

What Wisconsin rowing means to you: Being ong the Wisconsin rowing team has been one of the best experiences in college so far. Rowing is a sport where you can not only work as hard as you can for yourself but you work as hard as you can for every teammate in your boat. I feel supported and encouraged to do better every day by my coaches and it has made me feel more comfortable in a big college.
