Describe what it is like to play in Field House? We have the absolute best fans in the world. Playing in front of an unbelievable support system is so energizing. The energy is unmatched.Â
First started volleyball: fifth grade
Most memorable volleyball match: National Championship
The best part of playing volleyball is: my teammates a thousand times over
My favorite thing about Wisconsin volleyball is: my built-in family. Teammates, coaches, staff, and everyone in between. The people here make my world spin.
Before each match, I: warm up my knees a lot by dancing as hard as I can in the locker room
Best UW road trip: Nebraska
One word that describes the team: Unreal
One word that describes me: Giz
What is the best thing you bring to the team? Energy, support, and great butt slaps
Favorite thing to do off the court with my teammates is: everything. I do everything with my teammates I have separation anxiety. But if I had to list one thing it would be sunset swims
Most memorable volleyball achievement: earning a scholarship last year
Is there anything significant about your uniform number? Izzy took my number so I decided to take Kelli Bates’ old number because I love her!
The best thing about the Field House is:Â fans
Dream as a collegiate player: Four-time Big Ten champs, two-time national champs
Post-college plans/goals: playing beach for my grad year and finding a career that I love
The best thing about Madison is: the people, especially the athletics community
What is your favorite Coach Sheffield? Kelly and I like to joke with each other. I was his easy target for a while, but soon enough I learned how to dish it back. So I could probably write a book about just this question but to sum it up: he called me into a meeting and I was convinced he was going to kick me off the team in my usual fashion, but he actually put me on scholarship.
What causes do you care about? Equality
What does it mean to be a Badger?
"Being a Badger means to work hard and play hard."
