Describe what it is like to play in Field House: It’s unreal. Everyone in the gym rooting for you is an insane experience, and it gets so loud that you can barely hear yourself think. It’s so much fun, and by far the best place to play.
First started volleyball: Nine years old
Most memorable volleyball match: Aside from the 2021 National Championship, I’d say my most memorable outside of college was my sophomore year high school state championship. We topped off an undefeated season!
The best part of playing volleyball is: something happens every point, meaning that it isn’t like timed sports. Someone is going to score a point in every rally, and that’s way more exciting.
My favorite thing about Wisconsin volleyball is: how my teammates and coaches push ourselves and each other to be better every day, not just as volleyball players/coaches but as people.
Before each match, I: take a few deep breaths and visualize executing our game plan.
Best UW road trip: 2021 Final Four
One word that describes the team: GRITTY
One word that describes me: Analytical
What is the best thing you bring to the team? A competitive edge in practice that helps push people to be better.
Favorite thing to do off the court with my teammates is: dress up to go out for dinner or stay in and watch movies.
Most memorable volleyball achievement: Virginia state Gatorade Player of the Year
Is there anything significant about your uniform number? First No. 0 in UW volleyball history.
The best thing about the Field House is: how loud it gets when we step on the court.
My “Bucky” List is: try every place with cheese curds.
Dream as a collegiate player: Win another natty
Post-college plans/goals: Either go pro or go to law school to pursue sports and entertainment law.
The best thing about Madison is: how much stuff there is to do and how good the food is!
What is your favorite Coach Sheffield saying? Be an active participant in your own rescue.
What causes do you care about? Black Lives Matter, human rights, Title IX
What does it mean to be a Badger?
"Being a Badger means that you’re gritty and competitive while also being a compassionate team player. You’re someone who is ready to get after it in all aspects of life and is the ultimate team player."
