Brad Davison, an All-Big Ten standout who helped Wisconsin to a pair of Big Ten titles, is entering his first season on the Badger bench during the 2025-26 season as Special Assistant to the Head Coach. 

Davison returned to Madison after spending three seasons playing professional basketball in Europe.

The Maple Grove, Minnesota, native started his international career in 2022 with Nevežis Kedainiai in Lithuania before moving to Spain in 2023-24 to play for HLA Alicante. Davison remained in Spain for the 2024-25 campaign, suiting up for Obradoiro CAB before returning to HLA Alicante for the upcoming season. 

One of five players in UW history with 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists, Davison enjoyed a stellar career with the Badgers. A second-team All-Big Ten selection his final year in Madison, Davison ranks sixth in program history in career wins with 101 points with 1,827 during his five years in Madison. He also holds the school record for most 300-pointers made and set then-UW freshman records for free-throw percentage (81.8) and three-point makes (60). 

A four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, Davison was a Senior CLASS First-Team All-American in 2021 and was a member of the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2018. His 161 games played rank second in school history. 

Wisconsin’s Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient in 2022, Davison earned a bachelor’s degree from Wisconsin in business management and human resources and a master’s degree in educational leadership.

Prior to his time at Wisconsin, Davison was a multi-sport star at Maple Grove HIgh School in basketball and football. A four year captain and starter for the Crimson basketball team, he finished his prep career with school records in points (2,300), assists (899), steals (365), field goals (692), 3-pointers (168) and made free throws (748). 

A finalist for Minnesota Mr. Basketball his senior year, Davis averaged 24.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.9 assists while leading Maple Grove to the state tournament. On the football field, Davison went 27-7 as quarterback and led the Crimson to three state tournament appearances. 

Davison and his wife, Tyra, have one daughter, Maya.Â
