Evans Among Three Biletnikoff Finalists
November 16, 2001 | Football
Lee Evans, a junior wide receiver with the Wisconsin football team, has been voted one of three finalists for the 2001 Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver.
Florida's Jabar Gaffney and LSU's Josh Reed joined Evans on the finalist list.
Evans leads the nation in receiving yardage with 1,363 yards on 63 receptions, both school records. He needs just 73 yards to break the Big Ten's single-season receiving yardage mark and only 30 yards to become Wisconsin's career leader in receiving yardage.
