December 11, 2001 | Football
Two Wisconsin football players were named to the Associated Press all-America second team Tuesday.
Wide receiver Lee Evans, a Biletnikoff Award finalist who broke the single-season Big Ten receiving yardage record with 1,545 yards on 75 receptions, and defensive lineman Wendell Bryant, a Lombardi Award semifinalist who led the Badgers in quarterback sacks and tackles for loss, both were tabbed by the A.P. as second-team all-Americans.
