December 20, 2002 | Football
The Wisconsin football team's matchup with Colorado in the Alamo Bowl as presented by MasterCard on Dec. 28 is just one of several exciting events for fans making the trip to San Antonio.
The Saturday evening football game, which kicks off at 7 p.m. in the Alamodome, is the feature event in a weeklong celebration.
Badger fans are also invited to attend the Wisconsin Pep Rally and Band Concert on Friday (Dec. 27) in the Lone Star Pavilion at Sunset Station. The event, which runs from 4-5 p.m., is free and open to the general public.
The final primer before kickoff will be Badger Blast, the official UW pre-game party. Co-hosted by the National W Club and the Wisconsin Alumni Association, Badger Blast goes from 4:30-6:30 at the St. Paul Square Courtyard at Sunset Station (approximately 300 yards north of the Alamodome).
Fans can enjoy brats, snacks and beverages plus appearances by Bucky Badger, the spirit squad and the UW Marching Band. Tickets cost $30 per adult (if purchased in advance) and $15 per child (12 years old and under). Tickets purchased at the door cost $35. To purchase your tickets in advance, call the National W Club (608-262-7717) or the Wisconsin Alumni Association (888-922-8728) or visit their Web sites at nationalwclub.com or uwalumni.com.
