Badgers Closing in On Gameday
December 25, 2002 | Football
A wonderful Christmas dinner behind them now, the Wisconsin football team will begin to really focus in on its Dec. 28 date with Colorado in the Alamo Bowl presented by MasterCard.
The Badgers, their coaches, support staff and families enjoyed an outstanding holiday meal Wednesday night at the Hyatt Regency here. Turkey, roast beef and ham were accompanied by a variety of salads and vegetables (as well as a variety of desserts)!
Wisconsin conducted its third practice at Trinity University Wednesday afternoon. Following practice, quarterbacks coach Jeff Horton, a native of Arlington, Texas, educated the Badgers on the importance and historical significance of the Alamo.
The Badgers will practice Thursday morning for one final time at Trinity. The players have the afternoon off and they will be splitting their time between a variety of options, including visiting a children's hospital, golfing, visiting nearby Randolph Air Force Base or go-kart racing. The Badgers and Buffaloes will join together for a team fiesta dinner and pep rally Thursday night.
Kickoff time is set for 7:07 p.m. CST. The game will be televised live by ESPN.
