Connelly Retains Lead at Lady Moc Classic

Wisconsin junior Katie Connelly shot a 3-over-par 75 Saturday at the Imperial Lakes Country Club to hold onto the top spot at the Lady Moc Classic. Jessica Lewis of James Madison carded the low round of the day with a 1-under-par 71 to cut Connelly's lead to one heading into the final round.
The Badgers dropped a spot to fourth in the team standings after finishing the round with a 318 and a two-day total of 629. James Madison leads the meet with a 624 after posting a 310 today.
Sophomore Emily Hendricks improved upon an opening-round 78 with a 4-over-par 76 to move into sixth place.
Fellow sophomore Malinda Johnson shot an 83 to fall into a tie for 33rd. Senior Heidi Njoes sits in a tie for 48th after posting an 84, while Carli Gregorin shot a 94 to drop into a tie for 74th.
Frosh Andrea Nelson is in 73rd place after shooting an 88 competing as an individual.
The Lady Moc concludes on Sunday in Lakeland, Fla., with the final 18 holes.
