Badger Women Finish Sixth at Hawkeye Invite

The Wisconsin women's golf team ended the 10-team Hawkeye Invitational in sixth with a 931 after shooting a 312 in the final round Sunday at the par-73 Finkbine Golf Course. Junior Katie Connelly led the charge for the Badgers with an even-par 71-74-74 '219 to take second overall.
Le Anna Wicks took medalist honors and helped lead Michigan to the team title with a 2-under-par 217. Michigan finished with an 888, 15 shots ahead of second-place Indiana.
Also contributing for Wisconsin was sophomore Emily Hendricks with a final-round 76 to move into a tie for 12th at 230. Junior Carli Gregorin and freshman Andrea Nelson tied for 39th at 243. Sophomore Malinda Johnson took 45th place with a 244, while senior Heidi Njoes tied for 46th at 247.
Wisconsin is back in action next weekend at the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
