Women's Golf in Eighth at Lady Buckeye

The Wisconsin women's golf team is in eighth place after the first two rounds of the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational after shooting a 310-320'630 Saturday at the par-72 Ohio State University Scarlet Course.
Sophomore Malinda Johnson is tied for seventh with a 76-75 '151 to lead Wisconsin. Senior Heidi Njoes is tied for 30th with a 78-80 '158. Junior Katie Connelly followed an opening-round 75 with an 84 to tie for 37th at 159. Junior Carli Gregorin (T50, 81-81'162) and sophomore Emily Hendricks (T74, 85-85'169) also contributed for Wisconsin.
Kent State leads the team standings with a 597, four shots better than host Ohio State. Gabby Wedding of Kent State holds the individual lead with a 3-over-par 147.
The Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational concludes tomorrow with the final round.
