Badger Women in Sixth at Indiana Invite

The Wisconsin women's golf team is in sixth place after day one of the 14-team Indiana Invitational at the Indiana University Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind. Host Indiana has the top spot in the team standings after posting a 303-305'608 over the first 36 holes. Wisconsin shot rounds of 312 and 313 to end day one at 625.
Katie Connelly led the Badgers with a pair of 76s to sit tied for seventh at 152. Malinda Johnson also moved into the top-10, posting a 77-76'153 to grab ninth place.
Also competing for Wisconsin were Emily Hendricks (T27, 159), Heidi Njoes (T33, 161) and Carli Gregorin (T66, 168). Andrea Nelson posted a 177 competing as an individual.
Final-round action at the Indiana Invite is set for Sunday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.
