Wisconsin Holds Seventh After First Day

At the Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, IA, the site of the 2002 Big Ten Women 's Golf Tournament, the Badgers posted a 308-311'619 strokes to take the seventh position among the twelve teams competing in the Lady Northern Invitational. Holding on to the first position is Indiana University with 589 strokes and second is Kent State with 596 for the day.
The Badgers were led by freshman Jackie Obermueller who shot 75-76 to total 151 strokes for the first day of play. She is currently tied for he 15th spot. Also in the top twenty individuals for Wisconsin was senior Carli Gregorian (76-77 '153), who is tied at 19th.
The team will wrap up the Lady Northern with 18 more holes in a shotgun start at 8:30 AM Sunday.
