Women Golfers Finish Eighth at Lady Northern Invitational

The Wisconsin women's golf team finished in the eighth spot among twelve teams competing this weekend at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City, IA. Their three day total of 934 strokes (308-311-315) moved them only one spot back from yesterday's position of seventh. Leading the pack was Kent State with a total 895 and close behind was Penn State with 898 strokes. The Invitational consisted of 36 holes played on Saturday and 18 holes played on Sunday.
Leading for the Badgers this weekend was freshman Jackie Obermueller, who managed a 75-76-79 to total 230 strokes and take a tie for 17th place among the individuals. Also turning in scores for the team were Katie Connelly (77-81-76 '234), Lindsay McMillan (80-77-78'235) and Carli Gregorian (76-77-82 '235). The winner in the individual pack was Penn State's Katie Futcher with an eight-under-par total 211 (67-74-70).
