Golfers Dust Off Clubs for Emerald Coast Collegiate

True freshman Garrett Jones led the Wisconsin men's golfers through the first two rounds of the team's first spring tournament on Saturday. He is tied for fifth, three strokes behind the leader, with rounds of 76-75=151 at the 7,033-yard Tiger Point Golf and Country Club in Gulf Breeze, Fla. Wisconsin sits in eighth place of 15 teams heading into the final round Sunday with scores of 317-319=636.
Junior Kevin Tassitro was next among the Badger squad, shooting rounds of 78-81=159 in a tie for 38th. Dylan Esterling came in a few strokes behind him with 84-79=163 in a tie for 53rd individually. Brian Brodell rounded out the team contributing scores with 80-84=164 and Ryan Conn also competed with 83-87=170.
Host West Florida, with scores of 303-301-604, sit atop the team leaderboard with a 10 stroke lead. The Argonaut's Fredrik Lundberg leads individuals with rounds of 75-73=148.
The men return to the course tomorrow morning for the final 18-hole round at 8 a.m.
