Badgers Finish 18th at Boilermaker Invitational

The Wisconsin men's golf team shot a final round 312 at the Boilermaker Invitational en route to an 18th place finish with a total score of 928 through all 54 holes.
Freshman Garrett Jones led the Badgers for the third time this spring in a tie for 37th. He fired 72-76-76=224 for the tournament. Brian Brodell was next in a tie for 74th with 73-79-81=233. Kevin Tassistro tied for 77th, one stroke behind Brodell. Ryan Conn finished in 86th and T.J. Blakemore took 89th.
Host Purdue University led the teams through all three rounds, finishing a total nine-under par with 855. Colorado was two strokes behind in second, followed by Kentucky, TCU, and Indiana rounding out the top five. Colorado's Kane Webber led individuals with a ten-under 207, firing 71-69-66.
The Badgers continue their spring schedule at the Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio next weekend, April 17-18.
