Badgers Fall One Spot to 10th

The Wisconsin women's golf team dropped one spot to 10th place after a second-round 316 Monday at the Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational in Rogers, Ark.
Freshman Jeana Dahl (Fargo, N.D.) paced the Badgers on Monday with a 74, five strokes better than her opening round total. Dahl will enter Tuesday's final round tied for 23rd place at 9-over 153.
Sophomore Katie Elliott (Madison, Wis.) sits one stroke behind Dahl at 10-over 154 in a tie for 29th place after shooting a 78 in the second round.
Freshman Isabel Alvarez (Gijon, Spain) and senior Lindsay McMillan (Calgary, Alberta) each posted an 82 on Monday. Alvarez fell from 15th place to a tie for 44th place at 13-over 157 while McMillan finished the day tied for 54th place at 15-over 159.
Besides Dahl, Jackie Obermueller (River Falls, Wis.) was the only other Badger to improve upon her opening round score. The senior shot a second round 83 to move up to 82nd place at 168.
Arkansas continues to lead the 16-team field at 14-over 590, 12 shots clear of Kentucky. Amanda Costner of Kansas and Courtney Mahon of Arkansas share the individual lead at 2-under par 142.
The final round of the Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pinnacle Country Club. Live stats for the event can be found at golfstat.com.
