Wisconsin Finishes 10th in Arkansas

The UW women's golf team held on to claim 10th place with a 316 in the final of the Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational Tuesday in Rogers, Ark.
The Badgers finished at 307-316-316=939, two strokes ahead of Big Ten foe Michigan, who had finished ahead of Wisconsin twice this fall.
Jeana Dahl (Fargo, N.D.) posted UW's best finish, a tie for 20th place. The freshman shot a 76 on Tuesday to close the tournament at 13-over par 229 (79-74-76).
Seniors Lindsay McMillan (Calgary, Alberta) and Jackie Obermueller (River Falls, Wis.) each finished with a 79 in the final round. McMillan tied for 54th place at 238 (77-82-79=238) while Obermueller moved up to a tie for 73rd place at 247 (85-83-79=247).
Freshman Isabel Alvarez (Gijon, Spain) closed out the tournament with an 82 on Tuesday and tied for 57th place at 239 (75-82-82=239).
Katie Elliott (Madison, Wis.) rounded out the UW effort on Tuesday with an 87. The sophomore finished tied for 64th place at 241 (76-78-87=241).
Host-school Arkansas posted a 2-under 286 on the final day and cruised to a 20-stroke victory over second-place Notre Dame. Ashley Medders from Arkansas claimed the individual title at 4-under 212.
The Badgers conclude their fall season Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, S.C.
